THE PATH BACK TO YOURSELF

I believe something most of us were never taught growing up: You were born good. And you are still good right now. Not once you prove yourself. Not once you fix everything. Not once you become someone else. Right now. Somewhere along the way many of us learned to believe lies about ourselves. That we’re not enough, that we’re behind, that something about us needs to be fixed before we deserve peace or our dreams. But the truth is: What you’re searching for was never missing. Your worth is already within you. Your goodness is already within you. Even your dreams are already alive inside of you. You’re the one who feels them for a reason. You Were Born Good is about remembering that and is the mission behind Connect With Self. Remember you were born good. Relearn who you aren’t (bad) and what’s true. Return to yourself. Because the moment you remember you are already enough… That’s when you finally have the courage to live the life that’s been inside you all along.

I was searching and searching for a way to find something of my own that allowed my mind to be free from pressure.

Pressure of performing well. Pressure of expectations of others and myself. Pressure of tradition and doing what others do. Pressure of success.

I deleted all my social media. My personal Facebook account (until I undeleted it for marketplace reasons) I went ahead and deleted all of my friends even those who are family members. I didn't do it because lack of love or what not but rather it felt ingenuine. Facebook/Instagram has gone from a "connection from a distance" place to a place of comparison, passively scrolling, no real engagement and simply disconnect and I was done with that. I wanted to find a place where I could be my full self. Where I could write everything down and the people who truly wanted to support me or relate to the posts that I create would find them someway and become a real true connection with communication and open dialogue rather than something so foreign to me in likes, comments that really don't open the door to any conversation, and more than 90% of the followers being nothing more than an egotistical number.

So I decided to wipe it clean. For the sake of my wellbeing and to aim toward a more connected future. Where I am here in the now more living the life that I dreamed. The dream of simply being alive and having courage to be me.

Here I am not actually here.

I am writing this from the bath tub. I have a head pressure from tight muscles after carrying and dumping 5 gallon buckets of sand. im taking a bath in hopes to relax my mind and body and allow myself to be in the now.

The reality is the I'm not here.

my mind is thinking about all the millions of things I want to accomplish or maybe do.

I am planning to go swath today and harvest that alfalfa. I am thinking about how I haven't done a good sweat in a long time of a drenched shirt and maybe that's why I have all this head pressure. I think about how I want to drop a lot of weight and shape my body to be able to function easily and ease the load on myself. It's ironic you put load on the body to dump it.

All that matters but it doesn't matter if I don't live here in the now. Where my feet are and in this instance the feet are touching the running water.

So why do I do this? Why can't I allow myself to be here. For 10 minutes and allow myself the space to be.

It's time to allow myself to rest & finally go for the things I want WHEN IM DOING IT. NOT WHEN I'M THINKING ABOUT IT. Because that's when I'm actually present.

Connect With Self is more than a Mental aspect. We have 5 pillars that build the foundation.

Today I'd like to tap into the Physical Connection.

Most of us when we feel pain somewhere in our body try to numb it right away. They get a painkiller like Ibuprofen,Tylenol, or even prescribed and call it good. You could even try and numb it through distraction.

Now there's no shame in doing that but I truly believe the body is trying to communicate with you.

Say you have a headache.

I guarantee 9 times out of 10 that the headache is most likely due to either sinus pressure, neck strain, tight muscles, lack of water, or lack of sleep. We can blame stress as well but usually stress just causes tight muscles.

Massage, drink water, make sure your well fed and if you wake up in the morning with the same headache you might need your neck aligned or muscles released.

This is just a short snip of the Physical Pillar.

The more you let your body communicate and respond in a way that it'll be heard and not silenced; the more you will find freedom from within. and pain

How beautiful it is to have the perspective in your mind to always look for the good or how "the brokenness inside led you to the light" I filed a trademark in the wrong class that actually ended up being in the right direction. As I have started to live my life with the "butterfly effect" perspective I have found just how often something labeled as bad or not as I desired can actually be something that turns out for the better and the most aligned. It is a truly peaceful feeling living with this mindset and the more I do it the more opportunities I have to be here in the now and enjoy it.

I was raised without understanding boundaries. The religion I grew up in had it feeling like I couldn’t say no. If I said no I would be abandoning blessings. I would be saying no to God. Just a couple months ago I had a realization “it’s hard for me to say no” I felt like the worst person on the planet when my sister asked me for some help while they were away and I told her I couldn’t. It felt like I was the worst brother and that our relationship would be rocky moving forward. I noticed patterns where I would hold onto the uncomfortable thought even after saying my stance until finally the time has passed and the event was finished. Causing me to pause my life as if I said yes to offering help. I wrote this song with this new profound perspective that I can say no. That I can live my life with that boundary and I don’t have to wait to carry life on until events have completed. I can say no to having it be perfect before deciding to go for it. I can just go for it. This is my life and I choose what helps me go.

[Remember] When you were younger, you shared a dream out loud. Maybe it was music, art, starting something of your own, or simply being different. Before doubt had a voice. [Relearn] Over time you heard things like: “That’s unrealistic.” “Be more practical.” “People like you don’t do that.” Eventually those voices became beliefs. But those beliefs were learned & not who you truly are. [Return] Returning means giving yourself permission to listen to that original voice again. The one that believed. The one that dreamed. The one that felt alive when you imagined it. You don’t become someone new. You return to who you were before the doubt. Because you were born good. And you are still good.

A lot of the doubts we carry are made up of beliefs that say, “You don’t have it in you to accomplish that.” Sometimes they come from a moment when you tried before and heard your mother, father, or someone close to you say something negative when you were really just looking for reassurance. Or thoughts like: “They’re out of my league.” “There’s no way I could do that.” “What if I invest all of this and I hate it though.” Those are doubts creeping in. Often those doubts are trying to protect you from getting hurt. They are learned experiences that slowly become beliefs we accept as part of who we are. But I am here to tell you that is not your true self. Your true self is the one who wanted to go after it. Your true self is the one who felt the desire for it. Your true self is the one who believed just enough to say the dream out loud. Before you doubt yourself… Pause and doubt the doubt.
